What is SEO and why should I care?

There's a good chance you've heard of SEO, but in case you haven't, SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. The term refers to steps you can take on your website to help it rank higher in search results.

Technology choices for websites

Over the years I've worked with a lot of different technologies for building and maintaining websites. For a lot of small businesses, the choices have either been WordPress, which is a well established content management system (CMS) or a DIY platform like Wix or Squarespace. The other choices were either too big and complicated or required programming knowledge.

From Idea to Website

The process of getting from an idea to a live website generally follows the same steps and consists of three major milestones -- kickoff, draft design, and final tweaks.
